Bridal Guide Magazine July/Aug Cover

It's always special when your skills are recognized by some of the most prominent names in the industry. I was recently featured in the Bridal Guide Magazine for their latest edition. True to the adage, I'm over the moon!

In the world of creative businesses, there are certain milestones that all creatives strive to achieve. Wedding photography is no different. Being recognized for our photography skills is a great honor that most of us chase after. I am thrilled to announce that I was featured in the July/August '23 edition of Bridal Guide Magazine. In this blog, I will take you behind the scenes of the editorial photoshoot that led to this momentous occasion.

Location For The Photoshoot: SSAA Sunstone Vineyard

Nestled in the glorious Santa Ynez Valley, Sunstone Winery is a sight to behold. The estate's vineyards sprawl across 52 acres, with viticulture as their core agricultural practice. The diversity inside the venue took me aback. Provençal French courtyards, caves, villas, and picnic grounds — you name it — this destination winery has got it all.

Mainly for this photo shoot we chose the expansive vineyards. As a wedding photographer there are two things I love most: ambient lighting and fresh, natural backdrops. It was a delight to have both in abundance for this shoot.

The Finer Details Of The Photoshoot

"Fine Vintage" was the theme that the organizers of the photoshoot were going for. So, the organizers chose timeless yet modern elements for the shoot. A muted color palette with hints of sage green and blush tones was used for the overall decor. Woven chairs, vintage rowboats for cocktail bars, wooden cake stands, and benches accentuated the vintage theme.

The bride's airy white gown from Styled Gowns and the groom's fitted black tux from The Modern Groom perfectly complemented the roomy and whimsical tone of the photo shoot. The vineyards offered exquisite backdrops for the shoot, with the blueish rolling hills peeking from behind in almost every scene (who doesn't love that?).

Featured in Bridal Guide Magazine: Final Thoughts

It's a joy to be a part of an editorial photoshoot alongside many industry pros in a stunning location. It's happiness on a whole different level to have this reflected in one of the country's most reputable bridal magazines. Seeing my photographs arranged on glossy pages was an unforgettable moment that filled me with pride. Having a professional validation of my creativity feels, to say the least, surreal.
