Rika and John celebrated their wedding by renting a beautiful Airbnb in Fullerton. The home boasted a beautiful combination of gray siding and rock for its exterior, and a large front yard for a lovely, quaint lawn ceremony. They set up a gorgeous gold photo backdrop near the home’s rotunda for pictures throughout the evening. Rika took some stunning bridal portraits on the home’s staircase. The white of the walls and natural wood steps popped with the natural light streaming in from the home’s large floor to ceiling windows. The bride and groom were able to capture some tender moments just the two of them as we took couple portraits around the venue. Large trees and a magnificent ivy wall with rich pink flowers provided the perfect background for their photographs. The wedding took place on the same day as Diwali, so they incorporated elements from Rika’s Indian background, including lighting a candle for loved ones who had passed, Mehndi (traditional Indian wedding henna), and amazing Indian dance performances. Rika, her daughter, and John’s two daughters made up the wedding party. The ceremony was an intimate gathering of their friends and family. They said their ‘I Do’s and became husband and wife. Their outdoor reception was complete with a dance floor and cafe lights strung among heat lamps. It created the most whimsical outdoor oasis! Adult guests enjoyed cocktails and the children enjoyed a swing set while waiting for the bride and groom to rejoin the party. Speeches were made, dances were danced, tears were cried, and laughter was heard all night long. It couldn’t have been a more perfect blend of families as the girls already saw each other as sisters.
