Wedding at San Antonio Church and Coyote Hills Golf Course, Fullerton | Karyn & Hans

I knew as soon as I met them that Karyn and Hans were going to be a delight to work with on their wedding day. They’re both so sweet and genuine. Even after just meeting, I could see how well their personalities mesh – they complement each other perfectly and truly bring out the best in each other. I could not be more excited for their big day. As the cherry on top, I found out their reception would be held at one of my favorite outdoor locations. I was counting down the days right along with them!

Some couples like to tie the knot outside and then take the celebration inside for a more formal evening reception. But Karyn and Hans changed it up a little. After their gorgeous traditional ceremony at San Antonio de Padua Church in Anaheim, California, they took their crew over to the scenic Coyote Hills Golf Course for an evening of fun and dancing on this perfect summer day.

Coyote Hills is one of my favorite options for outdoor receptions: the huge shade trees keep the temperature just right, and their design is flawless. Large wooden beams draped in white linen frame the dance floor and seating area. Climbing ivy and dazzling chandeliers add to the romance. When the twinkling lights come on at dusk, it’s pure magic. Add in the trickling waterfall and tranquil pond nearby – wow! The secluded reception area is absolutely breathtaking.

Karyn is a teacher, and you could tell by how organized everything was before and during the wedding. Hans is a pilot, and they incorporated that into the wedding with the favors – their plane bottle openers with personalized tags were so cute! I also loved their unique grand entrance with a vintage VW bus, which then turned into a photo booth! What a pleasure it was to capture Karyn and Hans’ wedding day – warmest wishes to the happy couple!
