It’s easy to see that these two love having a good time together, and capturing their big day on the baseball diamond was a treat for me! It’s not every day that I shoot unique weddings like this. Jason went to Cal State Fullerton and has always been a huge fan of their baseball team. Jenn shares his love of baseball, so when they got permission to get married on Cal State Fullerton’s baseball field, they were ecstatic.
Everyone matched the part, and this was really a fun one to photograph—their friends and family wore their favorite baseball apparel, decked out in jerseys, baseball tees, and sneakers. Jen and Jason wore complementary Converse shoes in the team’s orange and navy colors. Their guests sat in the stands while they exchanged vows over home plate. Jason’s two daughters stood next to them, and their officiant friend gave them a good laugh when he came out onto the field wearing a festively colorful suit. After they said their “I dos” under the bright stadium lights, the party headed over to Hangar 21, an intimate reception venue at Fullerton’s charming airport. The evening couldn’t have been more perfect.
The reception looked amazing: for the table assignments, they had a cute sign labeled “The Lineup,” and each family sat at a table named after a well-known baseball player. The string lights added a perfect little romantic touch. Surrounded by the love of their family and friends, they sipped, celebrated, and danced the night away. Congrats, Jason and Jenn!
