Ying and Jessie have a wonderful love story that was sparked while the bride was in medical school and the groom was in pharmacy school. Now, look at how far their love has come. Despite living in Connecticut, the two love birds traveled to Laguna Beach, California to tie the knot, which is where Ying is from. Their wedding venue, 777 Laguna Beach, was so beautiful. It was overlooking the beautiful California hills, and all of the greenery was perfect for their big day.
Having a first look before your wedding ceremony is not a necessity, but I highly recommend taking advantage of the time before your ceremony with your partner. It can be a first look, first touch, or even read a special note to your partner in an intimate setting. You can do whatever you want because it is your wedding day after all! Doing something before your ceremony allows you to set aside your nerves and just be in the moment with your partner.
Don't forget to take your bridal party pictures before your ceremony too. This gives you the time to have everyone in the same place because once the reception begins, it can be a little challenging to find all of the bridesmaids and groomsmen. Also, it ensures that there will still be a good amount of lighting for your wedding photos. The bridesmaids wore beautiful sage green bridesmaid dresses and the groomsmen wore royal blue tuxedos.
One my favorite parts about capturing Ying and Jessie's big day is that they incorporated important elements of Ying's Chinese culture into their wedding day. It's so beautiful to see how different cultures' traditions are incorporated into the bride and groom's wedding.
The bride and groom had the most beautiful backdrop for their wedding ceremony. There were stunning trees surrounding their altar. The bride and groom's ceremony centerpiece flowed into their entire ceremony with the leaves infused into the arch. It was so emotional for everyone watching Ying and Jessie make their love official.
Their reception decor was filled with greenery, pink florals, and baby's breath. When the bride and groom had their first dance underneath a gorgeous chandelier, it was truly magical to be able to capture this special moment for the two of them. Nothing will ever compare to the feeling I get when I spend my day capturing such a special day for my couples.
