Tips when planning a wedding from a distance

Planning a wedding while living far apart can present many challenges, but thankfully technology makes things a whole lot easier.

Videoconferencing is so helpful when exchanging ideas on colors, style, and logistics. It also enables you to still have face-to-face meetings with your vendors when you can't be in the same place. Zoom is perfect for vendor meetings; but even if you're on the go, you can Facetime or use the Zoom app on your phone.

Take full advantage of the cloud to access wedding documents and files that you two can easily modify and share with each other. It would also be wise to have a dedicated wedding email account to keep everything in one place.

Social media is a great way to keep in communication with family and friends about pre-wedding events and any tasks that are delegated to them. I suggest starting a private group on Facebook since it makes it easy to share ideas through photos, links, and dialogue posts.
