Wedding at Aliante Casino, Las Vegas | Ryanne & Ryan

Wedding planning can be overwhelming. Just pick up a wedding magazine, visit a bridal expo, or login to Pinterest and you’ll quickly see the plethora of options you have and the many directions you can go. One of the first things you’ll want to check off your list is picking a location. Do you want to stay local and invite everyone you’ve ever known to celebrate or would you prefer a destination wedding with an intimate group of friends and family? What if you could have the best of both worlds?

More and more couples are choosing to travel to a destination within driving distance for guests, but still far enough away from home to feel like a vacation. I recently photographed a wedding in Las Vegas where the bride and groom did just that! Ryanne and Ryan chose the cool, hip, off-the-strip Aliante Casino. They were able to relax at the pool and do a little bit of gambling with friends and family a couple days before the wedding. This couple was so sweet, and you could tell they were just made for each other.

Ryanne had always hoped she would find a Ryan someday, and lucky for her she found just the right one! You can tell Ryan absolutely adores her by the way he gazes into her eyes. Ryanne was so bubbly and happy the whole day, and the ceremony and reception went off without a hitch. The officiant was so funny during the nuptials, and I LOVED how many people got on the dance floor during the reception. There was even a conga line! I loved photographing this semi-destination wedding in Las Vegas and I think it’s such a great option for couples who want the best of both worlds when it comes to choosing the perfect location for your big day.
