Family Session at Carbon Canyon Regional Park, Brea | Saiget Family

This sweet family found me on Instagram when they were looking for a photographer for their little reunion – half of the family lives in Portland, OR, so it was a big deal that they were all here together. This occasion called for some beautiful family portraits!

It was the kind of session I always look forward to: fun, silly, and smiley. Every family member, both young and old, was up for anything. They kept me laughing throughout the shoot. You could really tell this family was so happy to be reunited. How special it was to have several generations all together, and I know the photos with grandpa and grandma Saiget will be cherished always.

I wanted a location that fit their fun, laid-back personality and offered a beautiful, bright backdrop. I knew Carbon Canyon Regional Park would be perfect with its easy trails, lush greenery, and glowing sunshine. It can get pretty hot this time of year, so I wanted to find an outdoor spot with plenty of shade. The park wasn’t too crowded, and it was such a relaxing session.

I love all of the posed photos, but the candid shots warm my heart even more. They all have so much fun together and truly enjoy each other’s company. I enjoyed capturing all of the laughter and genuine facial expressions as they chatted on the trail. These photos really display their authentic relationships with each other.

The sibling photos at the end were some of my favorites. As a typical brother and sister, they had a hard time keeping straight faces when they were next to each other. Even though they aren’t kids anymore, they still have their goofy side when they’re together.
